CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: GIVING FLOWERS ANTHOLOGY
Moncoeur
Publishing invites women writers to submit short stories for Giving Flowers,
a commemorative anthology celebrating International Women’s Day 2026.
Inspired
by the 2026 International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain,” this anthology
honours recognition, generosity, and collective upliftment. Giving Flowers
is a celebration of women’s voices, stories that acknowledge women’s lives,
resilience, joy, struggles, legacies, and everyday courage while they are here
to receive their flowers.
Who Can
Submit
- Women writers aged 18–50
- Submissions are welcome from women of all races and backgrounds, with a special invitation to women of African descent.
- Submissions must be original
short stories written in English
Submission
Guidelines
- Genre: Short fiction
- Language: English
- Word count: Not more than 2,500
words
- Stories should align with
themes of women’s empowerment, visibility, solidarity, advocacy, corporate life struggles, growth,
recognition, and giving.
- Previously
unpublished work is encouraged (We prefer stories that have not been
shared before. This includes work that has not been posted online,
published in a book or magazine, or shared on blogs or social media.)

Distribution
The
anthology will be available as a free digital download and for purchase
through major online retailers, including Amazon, Selar, and Google Books.
Contributors who attend the Write with Music Festival in November 2026 will receive a complimentary print copy of the anthology.
